A Thousand Splendid Suns..

..is such a sad, SAD book! At least right now, in the beginning, it is!! I cant help but hate AND feel bad for Nana..weird much??
Seriously though, 15-year olds really do get married to guys their FATHER'S age!
And then she's uprooted and sent away to this far-off place when she hasnt been 2 kms away from home, ever!! I dont think I ll be able to go through the whole book..let's just hope she doesnt die, or endure worse (though its inevitable) in the later parts.. :(

On the brighter side, I had to go to this wedding today, and guess who I saw??? A Himess look-alike! Now, FYI, Himess is GOD!! Mauli and me LOOVE Himes (I hate how sarcasm doesnt transfer well over text *sigh*) so we went to him, all sweet n nice, and told him, uncle, you look like Himesh..he is our favorite..can we click some pictures?? And he was such a sweet guy, he's like 'theek hai beta' :D He made the otherwise more-boring-than-Tarun's-geography-class wedding endurable..and of course the babycorns too!!! Scrumptious!! :D

Oh, and its so damn COLD hereee!!!!! Teeth-chattering cold!!
I feel like making a list!

Top twenty books u SHOULD read:
  • The Harry Potter books..u seriously dont know what life is, if u haven't read the HP books!
  • The Twilight Saga: Be prepared to always be disappointed with all the guys in the world, cause no one can be Edward Cullen!
  • The Princess Diaries series: ANYONE who loves writing, wants to be a princess, wants a perfect guy, HAS to read this book!! Michael is the closest deal you'll get if u want Edward..
  • Where Rainbows End: Its the only book I've read 20 times in a period of four months. Not kidding. Every time u read it, u kinda start believing there's a touch of magic in loveee! People can confess their love when they're fifty too :D
  • Wherever Nina lies: AMAZINNG mystery/love/drama/comedy!! Its a whole package..and has the most unpredictable ending!
  • The Bartimaeous Trilogy: Sarcastic, funny, enthralling!! The only book where I couldnt form a opinion about who's the hero, who's the villain! Everyone has a cause, a right one, and the closest to 'the wrong thing' is exercised by the protagonist!! BRILLIANT stuff!
  • Threads: Anyone who loves fashion would ADOREEEEEE this book..dreams do come true :)
  • Does My Head Look Big in this?- Only an idiot wont feel like he can do anything, take over the world, and not give a shit about what others think after reading this book!!!!
  • Whitney, My Love: The best historical romance I have ever read!! Totally proves: Hating MAY lead to love :)
  • Someone to watch over me: Enthralling romance and an intriguing mystery..what more can u possibly ask from a book??
  • The Inscrutable Americans: I never thought I could fall in love with a guy called GOPAL, whose grammar was about as good as Tarun, or worse, but I did!! :)
  • Romancing Mr. Bridgerton: THE ONLY romantic book which has an ordinary-looking protagonist..a wallflower, really. Who said ordinary couldnt be beautiful??
  • A Kingdom of Dreams: Quixotic!! =) The lion fell in love with the lamb..again..
  • The Mediator series: Meg Cabot really comes with the most unusual ideas ever!! Turns out ghosts arent always scary, they may be scrumtiously handsome and sexy too! Oh, but most of the time, they ARE scary!
  • An Instant Message of Wowness: One word and it describes it all, woww! :)
  • The Boy Next Door: Cabot is a genius!! The whole book is in the form of emails =) Again, romance, mystery, drama, insecurity, vulgrarity, everything!! :D
  • PS. I Love You: I cried the MOST in this book!!!!!!
  • The House of Night series: Its an AMAZIING book, only lagging behind cause the protagonist the biggest slut I've seen in my entire life, and of course I had a thing for Erik, and they totally outcast him :x
  • Love Story- Who doesnt love the most beautiful love story by Erich Segal?
  • Oliver's Story- The sequel's great too! I especially fell in love with the last line
'I asked myself, what would I be if Jenny was alive?
And then I thought, I would also be alive!
    Beautiful, na??

Plus, I soooo wanna read Firelight by Sophie Jordan! Its not available in Universal, the only decent bookshop in Varanasi, which is SERIOUSLY a village when it comes to books. No offence, I LOVE Varanasi, but really..whats the point of bombarding the city with so many malls with McDonalds and Levis??! Cmon, u need to have a good bookshop!! God knows why the loserbags who run IP got Odyssey shut :(

On that note, gotta go read more of the splendid book I am on :)))

Again, dont forget to keep praying about terrorists dying and poverty eradication thingy...NOT to mention the assholes in my school thingie too!! :P

More later!
