I'll tell you..you write a whole blog (longer than Yash Singh's amazingly long tie :P) and you WRITE about Saturday being Christmas..and yet..YET, you do not wish people Christmas!! (I posted For lack for a better name Pt. II half an hour ago) Seriously..I am an idiot!!
Okay, I wish you a merry Christmas! I wish you a Merry Christmas!! I wish you a Merry Christmas..and an AWESOME new year..and an AWESOME new year (and the chorus singers whisper 'in advance' which you're supposed to hear vaguely, so you know the New Year greetings are in advance, but it doesn't completely spoil the mood)
And now that I've started writing, I am compelled to keep writing!
So what did I do for Christmas??
Its embarrassing..but here's what I REALLY did, since I've learnt honesty is the best policy! And ofcourse, since u cant always follow it, best to follow it whenever you can ;)
So here's the 411: I got up, lazed around, lazed around, lazed around (which constitutes reading TOI..I am an avid newspaper reader, which for some reason people usually find hard to grasp..lots of watching TV, irritating Mum, calling up friends), and then I was hooked online, and since then I've been surfing. Once I am online, all my chance of doing something 'productive' goes down the drain! I can almost hear the 'whooshing' of it, really! And what do I plan to do after this??? Go to YouTube, laze around some more, or maybe go to my Nani's place (which sounds more appealing, but I am less likely to do cause I had a fight with Mauli last night..whats new, u ask?!) and then, watch the Singing Superstar Grand Finale!!!! :P
When u have a mother who's seriously strict when it comes to sleeping at the right time on school nights, you have to pretend to be very interested in shows they air on Friday nights, so u can at least be awake till 11:30 (SHARP) one school night..
And in the process, u start genuinely liking 'em.. At least thats what happened with me!!
I am supporting Kamal, and I am gonna kill someone if he doesnt win!! Who?? I have a lot of people on my hit-list :)
Plus, I soo wanna watch the Aakhri Salaam of the BEAUTIFUL, SEXY, OH-SO-GORGEOUS Veena Malik!! A confession: She used to be one of my favorite contestants, the one on the TOP being Hrishant..he is soo amazing!! I can vaguely hear all of u guys saying 'I agree' Really..he played no politics, he was amazingly handsome, had a gorgeous body, and a VERY rare quality, that he had GOOD GRAMMAR!! :D
All of this opposed to all my other, older Christmases!! I still vividly remember, when dutifully, every year on 24th I used to write a letter to Santa, and then in the later years, put them in a sock, and try with all my life to stay awake and catch Santa Clause giving me presents! And then, the moment I opened my eyes on 25th, I was momentarily disappointed at my inability to stay awake, which was instantaneously replaced with pure joy and excitement at what I'd be getting that year!!
I remember, when I was in 7th grade (YEAH!! I believed in Santa till I was in 6th..sue me..) at night on 24th, mum told me there's actually no Santa and that she'd been giving me gifts..that was the day I cried the MOST in my life..till date..
Umm, no, now that I think about it, second-most!! I bawled like a retard, which was ignited when mum started LAUGHING when I started crying!! My mum.. sigh!
That year, I robbed my parents :) That was the most extensive Christmas shopping I did!!
And this year, I am not even shopping..
I dont FEEL like it..maybe I ll do it in Jaipur!! The Pink city.. :)
And since I STILL have nothing better to do, lets make lists!!
I believe in Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and NOT in out of sight, out of mind! So..that leads to the following list:
People who aren't here and I really really wish I could celebrate Christmas with them:
- Bhaiyya..every day is a blast..damn I miss him so much!! Why isnt Varanasi Ahmedabad?? :P
- Yashwi..she must be having a BLAST with all those cousins in Calcutta *sigh*
- Munmun: She went TODAY! And I am already missing her..poor girl, spending Christmas in a CAR, going back to Anuppur..
- Chunmun: Ditto!
- Mauli: She's tantamount to not being here cause we aint talking! If we were, we'd do SOMETHING!!
- Rangoli di..living my dream, doing MBA in Pune (which reminds me..Kaushi is going for a trip to Pune via school..how cool is that??)
- Robert Pattinson..WHAT? He's not here, so he qualifies to be on this list :)
Thats about it I guess!! But I am not done!! Who doenst love recieving lots of gifts?? Here's a list of things I'D LOVE for Christmas!!!
- iPod touch. Do I need to describe ANYTHING here?
- iPad
- All those wonderful kurtis Deepika Padukone donned in Chor Bazari
- All those BEAUTIFUL kurtis Konkona Sen keeps wearing all the time..lucky gal..Varanasi sucks that way..I mean an AWESOME city like Varanasi should have FabIndia!!! :(
- LOTS OF CHOCOLATES!!!
- A boyfriend. Like Michael Moscovitz! (to all nescient people out there..Mia's love interest in Princess Diaries, the book) No less, and it would be idiotic to expect MORE, cause its not possible :) Tall, handsome, loyal, caring, funny, cute, intelligent, loving..what more can ANY girl want??
And the two possible gifts that I CAN get is Chocolates and an iPod touch IF I do well in exams..my parents are forever telling me to 'PADHAI KE HOURS INCREASE KARO BETAA!!!' And I say, I am writing a BOOK on the computer..it may be my future..if I stop practicing..what'd I do?? ;)
So here's wishing you a merry christmas..hoping you're not having a shitty christmas like me!!
We're not even going to the Christmas part in the club..what the hell?? :x Not that I love going to benares club, I kinda DONT like it for some reason, but still, something's better than nothing na??
Oh, and like I say, keep praying that terrorists die in terrible, horrifying, unimaginably scandalizing ways, and that poverty is eradicated..cause while I am sitting here cribbing about a shitty Christmas, there are people who dont know how to spell Christmas. Worse, what Christmas IS!! Shit, I wont get into that, I dont want my mood to be shittier than it already is..
On that happy note (:P) I'll take your leave!!! HAPPY CHRISTMAS PEOPLE!!!! =D
